Mondays & Wednesday (two classes per week)

We are thrilled to announce Earth Law Center’s 2024 Summer Course is open for registration. Students will learn from global experts in the emerging field of Earth law, including the Rights of Nature and other transformative, Earth-centered legal paradigms. This award-winning program has educated hundreds of students, some of which are now leading practitioners in the field.

Learning Objectives
- Understand the emergence of Earth Law in response to the limitations of modern environmental law and the need for new approaches to tackle current environmental challenges.
- Learn about a new ecological social contract which includes all of the Earth community.
- Evaluate legal strategies in cases from around the world that have applied Earth Law principles in addressing environmental and sustainability issues.
- Explore ecocentric governance and integrative lawyering as ways of addressing complex environmental problems through interdisciplinary collaboration.
