“Following the presentation at the Annual General Meeting last week, I’m pleased to share with you that the 2022-23 Annual Report is now live.
The full PDF version of our ‘Year in Review’ is an important document that shows United Way East Ontario’s impact for the past year and looks ahead to the year to come. The digital annual report, an abridged version that highlights all the key points, links out for deeper learning, and incorporates multimedia to enhance your learning experience, is live as well.

The main objectives of the Annual Report are transparency and accountability to our donors, partners, and prospective donors/partners. The report is assessed each summer/early fall by an independent charity assessor (Charity Intelligence). For the past 4 years, we have consistently received a rating of ‘A’ or above. You can learn more about this on our ‘Trust and Accountability’ page, which will be updated once charity intelligence assesses us later this summer. The report also sets a new baseline each year for how we speak publicly about issues we are tackling, with updated and approved stats/facts, and new investment results. Like our website pages and all of the blogs we post throughout the year, the report is a great tool to pull from when you speak about the work that UWEO does.
Let me say, the dedication of those serving our communities’ most vulnerable residents has been nothing short of inspirational over this last year. As you read the pages of this report, I hope you will connect more deeply with the impact United Way East Ontario has had across the region. This report is also an opportunity to look at how you—our supporters—have made a difference to our work this year.
I am so grateful for you, and those who continue to play an integral part in helping us overcome whatever obstacles lie in our path. Together we forge ahead, and I know we can continue to count on you through this challenging journey.
