Social Venture Connexion (SVX) is thrilled to open applications for its first-ever Launchpad Entrepreneur Accelerator program.
A 5-week virtual program, the accelerator connects women and non-binary social entrepreneurs with investors, funds, workshops, peer connections, sector experts, and mentors to help them become impact investment-ready. This program supports entrepreneurs in maximizing the meaningful impact of their businesses, with the ultimate objective of securing capital for social or environmentally-focused ventures.
Program perks include:
- Access to impact investors and funds, including Bloom Local Food Fund in Prince Edward County.
- Mentorship from expert coaches with experience.
- High-quality content to increase investment readiness of enterprises delivered by market experts.
- Access to funding networks & related skills and resources (financial modeling, types of capital and how to get funding, business model (narrative) skills.
- Access to a supportive community of facilitators, experts, coaches and cohort of peers including access to relevant events and networks.
The program features weekly online investment readiness modules, from deal room development to improving your business model, weekly check-ins with a coach, and a signature Demo Day event to a live audience of potential investors. Participants will also learn how to find existing supports and resources that fit their business, confidence in articulating the impact of their enterprise, and confidence in speaking to investors and funders.
The program is free of charge for all participants.
To be eligible for this program, founders must be based in rural or northern regions of Canada and own a business poised to create social impact.
